Special Events
History Night with Jenn: Communicating with Flowers –February 25 at 6 p.m. All ages are invited to attend our History Night with Jenn where we will learn how flowers have been used throughout history to communicate without using a single word!
Adult Programs
Shelf Care: January 21 at 10 a.m. This new book club will have it’s first meeting in January where we will discuss possibilities of activities, schedules, and have refreshments!
Seams Legit: Every Thursday at 10 a.m. February classes will focus on learning Calligraphy. This special group is open to all and you are welcome to bring any current craft you have with you or learn something new at the library. All supplies available at the library free of charge.
Adult Zen Bags: Love, Candy & Flowers These special zen bags are for adults that want to relax. They are filled with themed coloring pages, crosswords, word searches, a gel pen for your collection, and a sweet treat. Available for pickup all month long.
Online Book Clubs
Better Read than Dead Club –Our February book is Home is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose. This book is also available instantly through the Hoopla app.
Book Hoarders Book Club – Our February book is The American Queen by Vanessa Miller. Jonesville Public Library was one of the libraries that were chosen by the North Carolina Humanities to receive book boxes and special swag for the statewide book club. Books will be available for pickup during the month for participants.
Exciting news!
The Jonesville Public Library was one of the chosen public libraries to receive book boxes from North Carolina Humanities. Our Book Hoarders Book Club will have each of the 5 books chosen for the statewide book club (starting in February with The American Queen) for anyone who wants to participate, along with more details about special events that will be coming up over the next several months. Stay tuned for more!*
Our online book groups are on Facebook, and you can click the links above to join! All books can be placed on hold to be picked up at your local library, regardless of your location. They are also available instantly on the Hoopla app by using your library card.
We encourage our members to read at their own pace! Discussion posts are available at the end of each month, and they can be hidden if you are not finished with the book of the month. When you are ready, you can unhide the post and join in on the discussion!
