About the Author: Patti Meredith grew up in Galax, VA. Most of her published stories are set in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her debut novel, South of Heaven, takes place in the NC Sandhills where her family’s roots run deep. After living all over the South, Patti and husband, Lee, settled back in Chapel Hill. The Writers Road Show author tour was created to bring the in-person reader experience to small town libraries and rural audiences. At least one copy of the book is available in each library branch in the region. Book clubs are encouraged to add South of Heaven to their 2024 reading list and stay connected to learn about activities surrounding the author’s visit. A Great Story for Any Age

This book began with a walk in the woods with our dear Sadie dog. Sadie loved going on long walks with us and was always looking for anything she could find to play with. One day as she ran along a hollow log, out jumped a chipmunk!

Enjoy Sadie's adventures as she learns about compassion for her many animal friends!
