Adult Programs
True Crime Fans - last Monday at 4 p.m.
Silent Book Club - 3rd Thursday from 5-6:30 p.m.
Cozy on Up in NC Cardinal - virtual book club (cozy mystery focus) via Amazon Book Clubs and Goodreads
Medicare 101 with Heather Poindexter - Every fourth Monday from 10 a.m. to Noon
Partners Health - Thursday, December 5 from 5-6 pm, "Dementia during the Holidays"
Silent Book Club - December 19 at 5 pm, crafting book ornaments. Provide your name, email, and up to 25 titles and authors in this form by midnight December 10.
Children’s Programs
STEAM & Stories (ages 0-5) has free play with STEM toys and STEM stories. This is the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m..
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) is on Thursdays at 10 a.m. (other than the first week of the month). Join us for stories, songs, crafts, and play time! No storytime on December 26 due to closing for the holidays.
Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (ages 0-5) Smart Start of Yadkin County meets Tuesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. There will be no meeting on December 24 due to closing for the holidays.
A Morning with Santa - Saturday, December 7, 9 a.m. - Noon. During the Yadkinville Christmas Parade for time with Santa, Mrs. Claus, crafts, snacks, toys, and other activities. This event is co-sponsored by Smart Start of Yadkin County and Children's Center of NWNC.
Christmas Jeopardy (ages 7+) - Thursday, December 12, 4:30 - 6 p.m. See how much Christmas knowledge you have!
Roots Homeschool Club Meet-up at the Library - Tuesdays 1 pm to 3 p.m. on December 10, January 14, February 11, and March 11. Meet up for STEM activities, puzzles, bring your own board/card game, have book time, etc. Club members and people interesting in homeschooling are welcome.

- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program: offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. A checklist of what to bring to your local VITA site can be found here.
