Adult Programs

True Crime Fans - last Monday at 4:00pm

Silent Book Club - 3rd Thursday 4:30-6pm in September, then 5-6:30pm October onwards.

Cozy on Up in NC Cardinal - virtual book club (cozy mystery focus) via Amazon Book Clubs and Goodreads

Vaya Home Health will be offering two free in-person health training opportunities on the 3rd Wednesdays at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Topics will change monthly. Online webinars of these events are also available. To register, visit vayahealth.com


National Voter Registration Day - September 17, 11am-1pm. Brenna Dickerson from the Yadkin County Board of Elections will be at the library to help anyone with their voting needs and election questions. 


Jane Pratt: North Carolina's First Congresswoman in the library meeting room on September 18 at 11am, Marion Deerhake. The book will be available for purchase ($40) by cash or check only.

Children's Programs

STEAM & Stories (ages 0-5) has free play with STEM toys and STEM stories. This is the first Thursday of each month at 10am.

Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) is on Thursdays at 10am (other than the first week of the month). Join us for stories, songs, crafts, and play time!


Library Card Sign-Up Month - the library in partnership with the Yadkinville Untied Methodist Church will be having a Stuffed Animal Sleepover event from Sept 12-14. Full details are in the. Registration form is available here.

Tinker Tots will be out at the Yadkin Farmer's Market Yadkinville on September 24, 3:00-6:00pm.

  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program: offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. A checklist of what to bring to your local VITA site can be found here.
