Galentine’s Day –  February 13 at 4:30 p.m.. Registration required using the online form and cost is $10 per person, paid in cash on or before the program starts.

Color Our World Story Contest For children & adults.

  • Medicare 101 with Heather Poindexter – Every first Monday from 10 – 11 a.m. Starting February 3.
  • NC Works February 14 & 28; 9 a.m. – Noon. Job seekers get help with your job search in person. Second and fourth Fridays of each month. March 14 & 28.

Children’s Programs

  • StoryWalks at Yadkin County Park (focus: picture books) and WIC Community Garden (focus: bilingual boardbooks)
  • STEAM & Stories (ages 0-5) has free play with STEM toys and STEM stories. The first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m.
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) is on Thursdays at 10 a.m. (other than the first week of the month). Join us for stories, songs, crafts, and play time! 
  • Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (ages 0-5) Smart Start of Yadkin County meets Tuesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. 
  • Roots Homeschool Club Meet-up at the Library
    Tuesdays 1-3 p.m. on February 11 and March 11. Meet up for STEM activities, puzzles, bring your own board/card game, have book time, etc. Club members and people interested in homeschooling are welcome.

  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program: offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
