Santa Claus is coming to our Library
December 23, Noon - 1 p.m.
Come visit with Santa and get one complimentary 8x10 photo (while supplies last). He is ready to hear about your Christmas wishes and he is bringing Mrs. Claus along! Hope to see you before he slides away in his sleigh with his eight tiny reindeer.
Complimentary Gift Wrapping
Bring up to 10 gifts and your boxes and we will wrap them up beautifully for you and yours. We are limiting at 10 gifts per person to be able to help more Patrons.
Ongoing Puzzle Building Fun
Check out this Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer puzzle our Patrons just completed right in time for Christmas, and it has all the original characters. What games are nostalgic to you? This has been sealed and is on display for all to view. Come visit the library to see what is on the table now.

Happening Monthly
- Gaming Buddies: Tuesday Mornings at 10:30 a.m until further notice. This activity is for those interested in getting together to play games with others on an ongoing basis. For those 18 or older who are new to the area, would like to meet new friends, connect with others, challenge yourself, and keep your mind alert.
- Storytime –Mondays at 10:30 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, Storytime will not be held if schools are closed.
- Alleghany Friends of the Library - Monday at 1 p.m. except for holiday closings.
Novel Cinema - restarting in February of 2025.
- Alleghany Writers - 3rd Thursday at 2 p.m.
- Alleghany County Historical & Genealogical Society – 2nd Friday at 4 p.m.
- Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention - The library is taking names for Tai Chi classes. Contact the library for more information.
- Book Ends Book Club - 2nd Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
- Page Turners Book Club - 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
