Growing Cut Flowers for Your Home or Vase
Join us Thursday, April 10 at 10 a.m. for this workshop.
You’ll learn about growing vibrant cut flowers in Sparta, including seed selections and planting. Learn soil blocking, unusual flowers that grow in Sparta, cool flowers versus wam seasonal flowers, our hardiness zone change, Microclimates and which varieties are nice for cut flowers plus flower spacing ideas.

- Gaming Buddies – Tuesday Mornings at 10:30 a.m until further notice. This activity is for those interested in getting together to play games with others on an ongoing basis. For those 18 or older who are new to the area, would like to meet new friends, connect with others, challenge yourself, and keep your mind alert.
- Storytime –Mondays at 10:30 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, Storytime will not be held if schools are closed.
- Alleghany Friends of the Library – Monday at 1 p.m. except for holiday closings.
- Alleghany Writers – 3rd Thursday at 2 p.m.
- Alleghany County Historical & Genealogical Society – 2nd Friday at 4 p.m.
