Gaming
On Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., ages 8+, join us for board games, video games, and card games. Have a game you want to play but don't have enough people to play it? Bring it along and we'll do our best to learn and play it with you!
Solar Eclipse Party April 8, 1-5 p.m.
We'll have a live feed of the eclipse from NASA, have some eclipse glasses for outdoor viewing, and several craft stations in the meeting room for kids of all ages.
Virtual Lunch & Learn Financial Seminars
Civic Credit Union is offering three FREE virtual seminars on three Mondays Noon-1 p.m.:
- April 15 (Identity Theft)
- April 22 (Budgeting)
- May 6 (Buying a Home).

Children’s Book Week
For Children's Book Week, we're having a special Family Storytime at the Yadkin County Farmer's Market in Yadkinville on May 11 at 10 a.m. We'll read books about farmer's markets, and do a craft.
VAYA Home Health
Vaya Home Health will be offering two free in-person health training opportunities on the 3rd Wednesdays at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Topics will change monthly. Online webinars of these events are also available. To register, visit Vayahealth.com
STEAM & Stories
The First Thursdays 10 - 11 a.m.
- 10 a.m.: play with STEM-related toys for ages 3+ inside Washi tape marked areas. Some toys and/or puppets will be for those under age 3. All toys are marked with age range and hazard warnings.
- 10:45 a.m.: after cleaning up the toys, sit in a semi-circle on the floor and have a drink of water to cool off while the librarian reads a STEM-themed picture book.
Preschool Storytime
Join us for a fun morning of learning, socialization, stories, craft and playtime. For a complete list of themes, please refer to our newsletter or come by the library to pick up a preschool storytime brochure. Thursdays, 10 - 11 a.m. in the Yadkin Meeting Room.
Brain & Code Builders
Ages 5-13, join us on the 2nd Thursday of each month for LEGOs, DUPLOs, and Treehouse coding. We also may sometimes have the Dash Robot from Wonder Workshop available for hands-on coding practice.
Silent Book Club
Last Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the library meeting room. No assigned reading and time to talk about what each other's reading. silentbook.club

- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program: offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. A checklist of what to bring to your local VITA site can be found here.
